Emma Brown - owner of The GiggleysHi, my name is Emma Brown and I own 'The Giggleys' as well as 5 main craft web sites; www.scottish-crafts.co.uk, www.irish-crafts.co.uk , www.english-crafts.co.uk, www.craftsfromwales.co.uk and our main site www.walkaboutcrafts.com

I would like to offer you the chance to earn money for your school / group whilst making it fun and educational for the children!

The aim of our web sites is to cater primarily for craft workers, artists, hand made food producers and art and craft suppliers and producers to promote and sell their goods online by creating their own shop within our web sites. Up to now we have just accepted individual craft workers but would now like to open this up to groups.

With so many schools struggling financially and the increase in demand for extra school activities and after school clubs; this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

What we offer

The opportunity for your group to make crafts and sell them.

We set up a shop to your requirements within one of our web sites.

We do not charge any commission - what you sell you receive 100% of full sale price!

Free access to our craft projects and templates for ideas and inspiration!

You can make and sell as many different items as you wish

We will of course help you step by step depending on your group and how much support you require.

We take all orders on your behalf so all you have to do is post the item. You receive payment directly from ourselves.

What are the benefits

You receive 100% cash, letting you buy things that your school actually needs!

Children have a fun but educational way of learning a variety of skills.

You do not need any skills, you don't even need a computer, email or paypal account!

There is no age limit; from nursery children making salt dough ornaments to High school children using their wood work and metal work facilities, there is also no limit to number of children in your group.

The scheme can be easily incorporated into your curriculum; computer skills, art and craft skills, business skills

You will have a unique shop which you can advertise in your newsletters, parents evenings etc.

You will be dealing with myself, therefore you will receive a personal, professional service on a one to one basis.

What we require from you

Of course there is a membership fee of £25 which must be done by an adult / group leader - This is a one off payment which sets up your shop and enables you to sell. You can have as many different items for sale and swap and change them whenever you wish.

All items must be well made and conform to any necessary EU standards ( We can help you with necessary advice)

The minimum we require from you is:

For you and the children to make the crafts
Send us images of each item
Decide on a selling price for each item
Have a paypal or bank account to receive payments
Ability to send items out to customers within 48 hours of an order

How do I know if I sell an item?

When an item sells it will go via our merchant banker. We will inform you of customers delivery address and arrange how you wish to be paid i.e. via cheque / paypal. You will be required to adhere to our refund / replacement policies, unless your own specific requirements have been displayed on your web pages.

We do not charge commission. We do however deduct the merchant banker fees on daily orders £50 and over.

We inform the customer when an item has been dispatched and if there are any problems they come via ourselves first.

Do I need an e-mail address?

You have two options you can have your mail directed via ourselves and forwarded to your own e-mail or by telephone. Or if you have an e-mail but do not wish it to be published then we can code it for you (as all e-mails on the site are) which prevents spam mail.
